Daniel Craig celebrates his 48th birthday Wednesday, March 2, 2016. Though the English actor has some critically-acclaimed movies like "Flashbacks of a Fool," and "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" to his credit, he is best known and loved for his portrayal of British special agent James Bond.
He debuted as Bond in 2006's "Casino Royale", and has since then played the role in three more films: "Skyfall," "Quantum of Solace", and most recently "Spectre." And now, rumours are running wild that Craig might be done with this role and is all set to step down as Bond.

Craig is an active philanthropist and social rights activist. He is known for his charity and his unique achievement is raising USD 1,549,953 in the 21st annual Gypsy of the Year competitions for the Broadway Cares / Equality Fights AIDS. He is also involved with S.A.F.E. Kenya which uses street theatre as a medium to address social issues.
Craig started young, and has never been short of attention from beautiful women. When he was 18 years old, he dated Marina Pepper. The couple met in a trendy Notting Hill bar. She was working as a Playboy model at the time and was two years older than Daniel."He was a tough act to follow because of his sexual stamina and he was also very sensitive to a woman's body," Marina later said.
Although the choice of Craig for the role of James Bond was controversial, numerous actors publicly voiced their support, most notably, four of the five actors who had previously portrayed Bond - Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Dalton, Sean Connery and Roger Moore - called his casting a good decision. George Lazenby has since voiced his approval of Craig also.
Craig and actress Rachel Weisz had been friends for many years, and worked together on the movie Dream House. They began dating in December 2010 and married on 22 June 2011.
Craig's third Bond film, Skyfall, premiered in 2012 and is now the highest-grossing film in the series, as well as the highest-grossing film in the UK and the twelfth highest-grossing film of all time.
