Actor James Gandolfini, best known for his role as gangster Tony Soprano in the acclaimed HBO series The Sopranos, has died while in Italy of a suspected heart attack. From 1999, the 51-year-old starred in all six seasons of the TV saga, hailed as one of the best television programmes ever. Friends have expressed shock at news of Gandolfini's death
